Quiet here today isn't it. Something to do with Moley's atempt to kill us all last night ? Death by press-ups !!! ;-) Juan almost collapsed towards the end complaining of his age - "I will be 26 next birthday." Lucky b/*-+#d.

Anyway whilst re-hydrating we were treated to some vintage Wes-isms. My favourite was "you shouldn't have brains and an arse like that".

Anybody got any more (printable) funny quotations. Please don't restrict yourself to only Mr Parry's words of wisdom ;-)

Too right, Huw! I would be happy to be 46 next birthday    After Moley's "gentle" sessions last night I felt 96

Sounds like I should be grateful I could not train last night.... though the after training gossip sounds interesting.
Ah well next time...h

naw, little h - don't get us wrong, the training was ace, it was just really hard.  The "rest" periods consisted of push-ups for the class when someone was just not paying enough attention or was dawdling.  Good discipline, welcome today - but not last night when the old folk were doing it

Some great emphasis on basics, and as always i came away with a load of points to keep working on.

The post-training hydration was a hoot, Wes - now released (on parole I believe) from his recent incarceration, was back on top form.  Bounding around the place and offering insightful commentary on life, the universe and everything.  Great stuff!

It was just a Cabaret act
You know ...Mind reading and stuff like that..
Moley just read the minds of Lloydey and Eryl in front of all the class, Basic things like that. Then we did the physical stuff..Taking the piss out of how slow the visitor from another club and the young guy's were in Kumite even though we offered them a standing target.
Not all that violent though 'cos Moley's getting old !

Yes Moley - the mind reading bit was most impressive, thanks also for giving me the winner of the Gold Cup last monday.

Thought you were slowing down a bit on the Kumite - Juan almost got a inch forward before you reacted.....ah well, age takes its toll

Someone asked me in  if ERYL was o.k as he seemed to have something in his eye during the mind reading......... :D  or was it you concentrated so hard that you brought on a nervous twitch in ERYL

Dogberry! I am shocked   surely you don't doubt Moley’s mind-reading abilities do you :?:

I can assure everyone that I certainly did not set it up with Moley beforehand.

A tentative posting ....having had my face slapped with a wet fish last time...

Ages ago dave wrote:

on this thread.

I should probrably initiate a new "training feedback" thread, on which to say how much I enjoyed getting back to the dojo for Thursday's sessions after a week away.

I am learning fully to appreciate the import of kihon and katas (in all shapes and forms) are as wonderful as ever.

I must agree that the recent enforcement of adherence to an acceptable  code of dojo conduct does not go amiss.

Once again it was very useful to stay to watch the late session even though I was too chicken to come to the pub (well Lloydie wasn't there as vrigin mary target practise this time ).

Who whaled on you last time little h? My Cod! Just you tell us and we'll put him in his plaice.

And don't worry if you flounder a bit in your postings, we all drop a pollock sometimes on the net, just don't carp  on about it!
