Would love to hear about the three sectioned staff if anyone knows about it's history, where it started. How difficult it is to handle etc ec.

Also if someone could post a video..

Like this:

What would be the advantage of this weapon ?

Long reach - jointed so can be used as a flail/whip with some techniques - can be shortened for close strikes as solud weapon as well - can be used to trap weapons/limbs between sections......

well 3 section staff s roughly bout 7 ft to 9 ft long, depends on how tall you are, i heard this b4 but i dnuo wether its true or not, each section should be da length of your arms n da 3 diameters of da 3 section put together, u should b able 2 hold it.

it was made n 960AD by this dude called chao hong-yin. he had a staff and got attack by this chavs and his staff broke into 2 pieces, he ran 2 this blacksmith n he used 2 rings n joined his staff back into 2 (one big one small), he try his revenge but da long section out of the two was weaken and broken into twain. so dats how da 3 section staff was created

its a long n short range weapon, u can extend it and use it as a powerful whip, or hold the both ends and use it as a trapping weapons (good at close combat)

advantage- powerful, long and short range weapon, easy to carry (ish, well cost cheaper for pnp on ebay then a normal staf so...), can attack and defend in the same time, hard to defend

disadvantage- hard to uses, could lose momentent in a fight,

I've observed many similar videos, but it is my considered opinion that this one is definitely superior.  The three sectional staff puts me in mind of a rather large "nun chuck", however one with an additional appendage.

The fellow was quite extraordinary, I rather disapprove of his colourful attire, however :(
