The black one is simply a painted version of the other one..... so it depends on the quality of the wood so no way to tell.... BUT I think you should have put the extra money towards a better Katana  :P

well i got a £10 vouture so i only need to pay £3.99 for the tonfa and i think that is a bargain, i will leave the katana you know, i got one and it looks good and i am not really going to cut anything with it, so it don't really need to be that good, would you have a black one or a wood one

£3.99 + postage and they're quite heavy 3kg......

FWIW I'd go with the "natural" ones - won't look as bad if they get "chipped".....
