Moley,

Can you expand on the below please, ? Lip off / square off / hit on counters

Lip off /Square off / Hit on counters anyone whom is able to "deck" you..in the club or in a pub
NEVER !...I REPEAT...NEVER say the wrong thing to "SWMBO" (She who must be obeyed)

My interpretation....

Lip off - try and disarm verbally, ie avoid trouble if possible.

Square off - defensive, disarming (but ready and controlling ) posture

Hit on counters... are you saying wait for them to move, counter and hit? or would you advocate the strike first when a potential opponent is in "your space" and agressive?

Hmmmm...

Personally I took the "Hit On Counters" to simply mean always make contact when you counter - whatever the situation - don't get used to stopping short of target.....

You absolutely did Jimmy.

No offence intended my old jelly bean  :)

I also would appreciate comment on the other points, and I was interested in Moleys comments as he started this facet of the discussion

LOL - Andy - he did do a bit of a "Hit and Run" on this one didn't he ?

He's probably too scared to comment since "we don't do bunkai in our organisation" (not Moley's words BTW)

...I'm guessing that he's managed to inadvertently turn off reply notifications on this topic...

....look on the bright side though Andy - it means that we can all say pretty much whatever we want about Moley in this thread and he'd never know.....

.....unless somebody "grassed" us off

EDIT: ...in case you're wondering the "bunkai" remark above was just meant as an example of the inflammatory statements we can make here since Moley's not watching.....  8)

Whilst I was writing the reply to your last comment, I recalled the old Warlord comics, anyone remember them? hence the Jelly bean comment.

He used to say things like..........well my old stick of dynamite, or something like that, loved those comics, may have to search for them, and reminisce!
