Empi requires knee and ankle flexibility and good speed.

Jitte (Jion is a Shodan kata) suits big people very nicely.

Hangetsu requires strength and concentration.

If I had to pick one for you I'd choose Empi. Should suit you just fine.

Major plus point for Enpi IMO is that as it's more or less the "expected" NIdan Kata - you won't be up on your own performing it and subject to aditional scrutiny - which is what tends to happen when you pick a differenet Kata.....

.then you're probably not doing the Kata properly with "intent" and application.....

...almost anyone can "£walk" through a kata and end up on or near the starting point....

LOL - glad to hear it - that's a good starting point - BTW my Sandan Grading Kata - Bassai Sho - I ended up about 5 foot from where I started - so don't feel too bad  :D

Practice is the key - but you need some genuine "intent" on each move....

How important is it in Kata to finish at the same point as where you started? Is it more important to do so in certain Kata?
The more you sweat in training the less you bleed in battle,a fool says I can't, a wise man says I'll try.

You should end up as close to your starting point in all Shotokan Kata - although in some Kata this can be quite interesting - ask Gwyn to show you Chinte  :D - and you are allowed a small amount of leeway in competiotion but it's inches as opposed to feet..........
