Cool - looks like you should have been standing closer on the first cut though so as not to need to adjust your stance/distance as much foir the two handed cut - but what do I know - don't even own a sword yet

BTW - Liam was that shot in Letterbox or are you really that small and chubby ?  :P

Ive got a few dodgy looking black dots on my blade now, so has Alex! How do I get them off?

I did clean the blade immediately after finishing cutting, I wiped it try first, put powder on and then wiped that off and then oiled the blade, wiped that off and oiled again!

ATTENTION !

You have a "REAL STEEL BLADE"  CARBON Steel...

NOT !
"Stainless steel" which is CRAP !

Get Uchiko powder immidiately and polish out those spots.....

DON'T USE ANYTHING ELSE OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR HAMON ............

If Spots nowhere near hamon..... Use TINY TINY TINY BIT OF BRASSO....BUT NOT NEAR HAMON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If no Luck! Then .....AW!!! It's my WORKHORSE BLADE so Who Gives A Sh!t

What did it take Liam ? powder ? Brasso ? or did you need to resort to Clearasil Cream ?

 I knew you'd pick up on the "spots" bit jimmy, you little rebel.

The powder did the job, although it did take a while to work! But all worth it in the end.

I must say I really enjoyed doing some tameshigiri today, was lots of fun.

I'll post a vid of Alex in a bit!
