Thanks for the tip Susan - sounds like an ideal solution. Cheers.

when I tore my hamstring last year,,once it had healed I visited RICHARD ROBINSON (BONES) who is located in MENAI BRIDGE and is a shodan at the club,he has recently arrived home from the middle east,If I see him I'll ask if he's still 'practicing'  or whether he is home on leave.

A couple of sessions with him sorted out the tightness in the hamstring, and basically he stated that extra time should be given to stretch them prior to training.

I'm still very wary of how tight my hamstrings are but try and stretch them as and when.

he suggested cycling for stretching and strengthening.

Ouch !

Just found out that I was hurt last night in the training. It just registered now...Mmmmmmmm
There's a huge bruise there as well, just under my armpit on the left side ! I wonder how I did it ? I can't recall Gizmo being over-zealous with his attacks or counters last night ?
Aha, now then... wait a moment, did I do a bit of lighthearted coaching with
"Big Bird" ? and did he return the compliment by whalloping me
"FULL FORCE" in my side. Yep, it's all coming back to me now.

New legs please ?  Yes I think they will be needed !

Huw very kindly found a way for me to empathise with his dodgy legs tonight.  The educational process involved a full-on ushiro-geri to my "good" leg  .  Must say it was very effective in helping me understand what it's like to have both legs Kn******d.

Must have been a full moon tonight as we were going at each other like idiots   Great fun though !

Oss, apologies Lloydie. You now have the "claim to fame" of being the only person EVER to get caught by one of my (pathetic) Ushiro's.

If it helps your pride I also have a collection of bruises tonight. Most 'given' by you but also one from Jewels (one inch punch, nice one J) and also some by Gizmo as his bunkai demonstrator for the night. :-(

As Eryl said in the pub " we're all f****in' mad to do this".
