its a pity that some of the young ones don't know how privelage and lucky they are that they have a chance to do it at such an early age.

I'm young and I'm glad that I started when I did.The thing is with me,I started at an age when I could decide if Karate was for me or not, lots of young kids start and think'I do karate, don't mess with me,I'm hard'They don't realize how much work they're going to have to put into it,if they want to be successful.Lots of kids get to about my age and decide,no karate is not for me and then they stop, because they've got to the age when they can make the decision.I think that if I would have started older, other things would have come in the way and I wouldn't have given myself the chance to get addicted to it.Some people might argue that if you're older, you're more mature so you can commit yourself to it more and you can appreciate how much work the instructors put into helping you.I think that depends on the individual and on how much you want out of it. Very Happy

I understand what you mean, the natural thing to think is yes she's saying that now but in a few years it will be different, but you're going to just have to take my word for it. Very Happy

Nope - I had quit for 1 years after moving back to Scotland and my Son wanted to try Karate - so he started and I started back with him after a month or so watching and then my Daughter decided to come along as well about six months later....
