Lift to training
« on: December 15, 2008, 05:50:17 PM »
As most of you know, B&D gives me a lift to training, as I cannot drive until May. (medical reasons !! not drinking!!)

Without Arwel, it would be difficult to get to training regularly, so thanks Arwel.

There are times though, when Arwel cant attend, tonight for example, (Owain's concert), and I would like to know if anyone drives past Gaerwen, and that would not mind giving me a lift on the rare occasions that Arwel doesnt go.

I hate missing training, I train at home, but thats in addition to, not a substitute for lessons in the dojo.

Can anyone help?  :D :D

Thanks

Sir, Yes sir

I have enjoyed the second lessons, and so far Gwyn, your foot advice.. on softening, rather than toughening has helped.

So hopefully, I can attend both  :D

:-s please explain?

Come to the second class, the  standard is at a completely different level (the first class is essential for basics though!)

You might as well stay for the third too :P(Alex usually does so if you're sharing lifts....)the Katas are amazing, and you're taught the Kata in more depth if you know what I mean.
The more you sweat in training the less you bleed in battle,a fool says I can't, a wise man says I'll try.

Thanks Emma, I plan to attend the second class as often as possible, its a great lesson, technically very stretching (hence good) the third I will wait a a year or two yet.

In respect of the foot thing;

I have suffered with blisters, huge ones, especially when doing two lessons in a row.

I tried toughening them up, letting calouses develop etc. even (nearly) bought foot toughener from a pet strore in Plymouth!! for Greyhounds!!

Moley told me to do the opposite, soften rather than toughen, and so far, it has helped.

A few different intensive moisturisers are available.
