I had a go using them a few months ago,at first I wasn't keen, but I've learnt more about them since then,so I'm introducing them into a training program. The plan is to develop arm and leg power,it might work,it might not,we'll see. Smile

worth a go. resistance bands yn dda fyd. Ever done hand stand press-ups  great wy of developing the shoulder. rember its not all about working the arms and legs a lot of core needs to become a part of the training the body works as one not each individual part to its own. Very Happy core is were the energy travels from the lower to the upper.

right a newbie question what is karateka or how ever its spelt lol. ... is that grade? if so White soon to be red tho thanks to the acceptance of gwyn tho Very Happy (if i pass)

another reason I've started using the kettle bells is because they improve your core strength as well. When I couldn't train in the Dojo because of my foot I started doing some core work(including the kettle bells)and since I've been back I definitely feel something different when I punch. It might not be anything at all to do with the core training, but it might have had some effect. Very Happy

I've done something similar, but not exactly the same.
I've done the 'Turkish get up' that they talk about on the site. You should have seen the state on me the first time I had a go doing that,I was all over the place! Laughing

Well in context to what we have been discussing, anaerobic fitness - Kettlebell - punching bag of sand and dynamic strength. well try and do it 3 times a week and see how it goes. Very Happy
