I have noticed since I have been going for a jog early in the morning everyday, my asthma isn't as bad as before, like in training yesterday after a really hard workout I usually need the pump but last night i didn't use it, I think it was stupid writing this down because I think the sensei are going to push me even harder lol

My friend suffers from asthma and the doctor has told her over and over again that doing some exercise will improve it a lot,but she can't be bothered,so she's always having problems with it.Keep going for your jog Alex! Very Happy

1. When I started teaching in 1973 NOBODY in the whole school out of about 200 kids had asthma !
2. In 1977 WE had One Kid had asthma (and a PUMP )
3. During lessons - he could have a REALLY bad attack and everybody panicked and phoned 999
4. He was the best football player the school ever had and NEVER had an asthma attack during a football match.
5. I have NEVER EVER had a kid get an asthma attack during a swimming lesson.

you probably have this info Alex:

http://www.asthma.org.uk/all_about_asthma/asthma_triggers_az/exercise.html

Most important is to monitor yourself and keep us informed if any symptoms are occurring or worsening

I saw you out of breath during kumite last week, but put it down to you being tired.

I dare to be blunt and say that you shouldn't push yourself to the point that you are struggling to get breath, in my opinion, this may increase the chances of an attack.

I have heard asthma specialists reminding patients that taking your medication, (Ventolin) before heavy exercise, or going out in the cold is a good thing, and often prevents issues, have you been told this, if not, it may be worth asking your GP or nurse practitioner for advice on this
