Hi Annette :D
Can you click on 'File' and then 'Save project'?Or does your computer freeze as you do that?

So can you import a "third party" vid clip (not one of your own) and simply save that or is it just with "your" clips ?

What format are your clips ?

What version of Movie maker ?

Don't make the questions too technical Jimmy or i wont be able to answer you.
I have the clips i want on CD, i have imported them to my video and put them where i want them, then when i open it up again they are not there. My computer freezes so i close down and start again and its not there or if it is there it will not open as all my clips have red crosses on them. Does that answer your question Jimmy?

Not really  :D

Have you tried by copying the clips first from the CD to the hard disk on the PC and then importing into Moviemaker ?

Yes i have tried all sorts of methods these last few weeks but no real success. When i first saved clips they were mpg, they then converted to vpj's which no-one could access. Azzy converted them to........ (i have forgotten sorry) so that they would be compatable with other projects at work and i am still no further forward. Is there any mileage in buying a package that will be better/easier than what i am using. I have downloaded some which don't work and then un-installed them again.

I have downloaded and started to create dvd by importing some clips. I have saved and named it but again when i open it i have nothing there. Instead of the red crossed last time i now have black squares. What i am doing wrong ? or is it my PC?
