progress- i have managed to drag my video clips in and save them, close them down and open them again which is a vast improvement on where i have been these last few weeks so thank you both so much. 
I am still struggling to do any editing with this video like i did last time (well about 2007) e.g title page, credits etc and i have no idea how you would have subtitles but i have nearly finished writing the script. So some progress on yesterday but nowhere near finished. I would much apppreciate some more help Azzy if you have time.

Just to let you know i have now finished the DVD and after Azzy's help again, added the subtitles.
I cannot wait to see it in my hand after all that stress.
Lets hope that it works as i cannot imagine having to start all over again to get it ready for Cardiff by monday.
