What you gonna be using it for Shari ? (photo scanning or document scanning and do you need a document feeder etc. ?) - and what's the budget ?

 :D doing documents and other things budget arthur says cheap. normal use, dont know if a scanner,printer would be better.

If it's not too demanding or you don't need to do high volumes of pages an all-in-one print/scan/copy device would probably suit you fine.

Best to get one that tales seperate colour ink cartridges - epson and canon and lexmark do some very reasonable ones at under £100.

I'm sure I saw a couple of Epson models at very good prices in their sale recently so check them out online on the Argos website and see what you think.

 :D arth tried them lastnight, one nothing the other one did content but windows 7 don't like it, not compatible with W7 tried to find a driver for it but still wouldn't accept it, thanks anyhow Huw it was worth a try.

You'll be stuck with buying a new one then. Vista doesn't have much support for 'older' hardware.

Can you 'recycle' the working one to somebody who would like a scanner?
