Topic: Can't enable wireless

Can't find the wireless driver to enable wireless connection.
I have a wireless keyboard and mouse but can't get a wireless connection to the router.
I have a recovery disc but don't know what to do with it.

I take it this is running off the laptop????

If so, is there a button with a picture of a mouse and/or keybord on it, above one of the F keys, if so, you may need to press Function and the corresponding key.

The wireless mouse AND Keyboard work O.K.
It's that I can't get a wireless connection to the Broadband router.

Nah.. its the P.C.

I'm sure it does do wireless..obviously cos the keyboard and mouse work.
I suspect it's something in the initial set up. and all I have is a recovery disc.

I seriously doubt it does WiFi Moley. Wireless keyboard and mouse use a totally different system to WiFi.

Moley - as Huw says wireless keyboards and mice are totally different from PC 11A/11BB/11G/11N Wireless networking intefaces.

Go to the device manager from Control Panel > System > Advanced > Device Manager and if there's no 802.11 "something" (a/b/g/n) wireless network adapter listed then you don't have one.

I got some spares if that helps Moley. I have a nice PCI wireless card somewhere (that goes inside the case rather than sticking out somewhere waiting to work loose).

So I can plug my laptop straight into the ethernet socket.
I know for a fact that the Laptp doesn't have wireless..
UNLESS.................
I can make my Laptop wireless with your magic card ?

There is a Network adapters  and inside that there is:
1394 Net adapte
Creatix 802.11 wireless adapter
Via Rhine III Fast Ethernet adapter

That's the badger. Go to network settings and see if it's enabled.
