Looks like this Laptop has had it. Blocks of Pixells dying all the time. Some letters don't work unless I bash them hard.
So
Time for a new Laptop.
I never move my laptop so I'm looking for something that will sit here permanently plugged into the mains. So portability and battery life is not a problem. But I do want something with a nice big screen and something quick. I also want wireless.
I use it for web browsing, e-mail and you-tube.
We have a Curry's and a P.C. world nearby
Any suggestions as to what model would be the best deal?

Is it was my money ...

http://www.samsunglaptop.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=NP-R530-JB01UK
15.6 inch screen is great and still retains some level of portability.

If your serious about not moving it
http://www.samsunglaptop.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=NP-R730-JB03UK
17 inch screen.

I've had a Samsung laptop for years and it's excellent.

Avoid PC World and Curries like the plague. Buy on-line for better price, service, etc. I've had very good experience with E-Buyer - even when I've had to return goods. My experience with PC World has never been anything other than awful.

So is this one:

17 inch screen.

The same as this one :

Which one is best? Where's the best place to buy because both sites sell it.

I'd buy it from Ebuyer. I got my present laptop from there Smile

I think they are slightly different models - but the differences are minimal.

Do you access your e-mail using a web browser? Don't worry Moley, I'll give you a hand to make sure you back up everything when you change computers.

Yep,
I'm on it now. Just set up Google chrome and the Seki website.
Took hours to set up (Initial set up loading backups on a "D" drive and installing software etc.) At the mo I'm transferring websites. Can't find the Mail icon yet.

Trying to download Outlook Express in Windows Vista or Windows 7?

Outlook Express isn't available in Windows Vista or Windows 7—you can't download it or run it on either version of Windows. However, you can install an e‑mail program from another company or use Windows Live Mail—a free program that is part of Windows Live Essentials.

Windows Live Mail works with most e‑mail accounts, and you can import your e‑mail, contacts, and calendar from Outlook Express into Windows Live Mail. Windows Live Mail puts all of your e‑mail in one place.
