LOL. Euros was pretty much the same when he had a new laptop. He lasted three months before ditching Windows 7.

WTF did they have to change so much and add on so much CRAP and make it Impossible to install a simple e-mail account.
I WANT MY E-MAIL ACCOUNT ON THIS LAPTOP!
I WANT TO OPEN MY FILES!

Mmmmmmmmm I lasted 3 hours before I ditched it. What an absolute timewaster... popups every minute asking to update this or that and then insisting I re-start the laptop. I was shouting at it in the end "LEAVE ME ALONE" I felt like I had bought a really fast car only to be told that they no longer fit wheels on it as standard but I can purchase wheels as an extra. Anyway Dr Huw came round and I had a counselling session and I'm never playing with Bill Gates ever again. Huw's taken the offending machine away to hospital. When it comes back it will no longer be dependent on Microsoft. "Do no evil" I think was the phrase Huw used. |

Umbuntu installed...Fast and efficient.
Two little problems.
1. Cant set up my e-mail account on Thunderbird.
On set up - It finds the second thinggy but not the first popup thingy Sets up account and says no mail. When I go to send mail it fails,Then asks for password and my password don't work.
2. Can't open Exell files.Have open office and the word/movies/powerpoint open automatically but it doesn't recognise my Exell files.

Sorted the Exell..by saving in Office format..
Boy am I motoring..
Google Chrome speed dialling is fantastic...really fast and easy.
Just sort out my e-mail problem and I'll never look back.

Yeah, both addresses work fine via this, but it did say that the new BT Yahoo something or other wouldn't work because of the browser so it directed me to Yahoo Mail Classic.
But as I explaine, accessing via this way no good because I need to use MASS MAILING
