Been over to Casa de Moley and been unable to get thunderbird to send btinternet email.
Tried changing the server setting and all the settings possible.
Added my hotmail account to Thunderbird it setup account instantly with two green lights and sent from my hotmail account with no problems at all.

What we setup moleys account we got an orange light for the incoming and green light for the outgoing even though it can receive but not send.
It seems that thunderbird does not support btinternet email or bt yahoo mail.
I have set up the btinternet account on my windows live mail on my laptop and it works no problem. I copied all the settings to thunderbird but it didn't work.

Any suggestions? Jimmy / Huw / Boots ?

So you don't have the ability to create a totally new email username for testing then ?

Thanks Jim, your comment set me thinking.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Would you believe how simple it was?  I've been trying for weeks.

When I first set up my Google Chrome Speed dial to access my personal e-mail (the one I don't use on this laptop) it said:
"Your browser does not support the New BT Yahoo Mail. It gave a choice of either going ahead anyway or going to BT "Classic" mail. I went to BT classic mail and could access my personal mail via Google chrome. But wtkf address did not work on Thunderbird.
I now on a whim changed it to New BT Yahoo mail even though it said browser would not support it. It worked anyway.
Re installed e-mail address in Thunderbird and
VOILA

Off we go

So will send a Seki Mss mail now to test.
RSVP if you get it please
