There's no word to describe that.....................
« on: November 05, 2010, 09:53:46 PM »
I honestly can't think of a single word to describe that session with Sensei. It was just..................
I thought the part when he was concentrating on footwork and the way you move your feet fantastic, and SO SO SO difficult. I hate it when you can see Sensei is watching you but you can feel you're doing something terribly wrong  !!!!And then he demonstrated the footwork again and made it look easy. #-o

If you're a 1st Kyu or above and don't usually attend the Friday night sessions, you're missing out BIG TIME. The experience you get from a session like that is the kind of experience that stays with you forever.
The more you sweat in training the less you bleed in battle,a fool says I can't, a wise man says I'll try.

The man is awesome- why people don't turn up on friday nights is beyond me (I know some people do have genuine reasons)- these are the sessions that can change your karate in a big way.
And I feel like a white belt every time.

Ossu Emma,

Every time that we do the Friday session with Sensei, I am completely blown away with how he shows that "simple" movements - which are sooooooooo difficult to execute to his standard - can be so powerful.

I think you can only really attempt to understand the karate of Kawasoe Sensei - and therefore OUR style of karate - if you attend these sessions.
