1. Yes. I loved the system. Honestly, I am using a similar approach with the other katas. For the places in the kata that I find particularly difficult, before the respective combinations of 2-3 elements I say in my mind the thing to which I need to pay attention. I can understand why not many people would boast doing this, but I have a simple mind, so I need a simple system until I learn to do the katas automatically.

2. Absolutely. Of course, the objective measure of how much it was worth will show over the next training sessions/ months, when I do Bassai Dai again, but at least for me, I think this system works very well.
3. Yes. The first step of the ladder:
Bassai Dai - Level 1: get all these things right from start to finish.
Bassai Dai - Level 2: get all of the above right + some new things... etc.
Now I have a first target towards which to work.

5. Not at all. Although I must admit about myself, that after watching High Kick Girl, one of the things I liked best was the Tekki Shodan training. "No. One more time." That's my concept of cool.
