Has anyone else got a powerball ?
http://www.powerballs.com

I was trying to explain to Azzy that it strengthens your forearms and wrists for martial arts and climbing etc, but he was getting the wrong idea

I've only had it a few days but my arms and wrists are feeling it already.

I was thinking of asking Sion Corn for one. Are they any good Julian ?

Took me around 15 minutes to understand how to get it going but now I can get around 10 minutes per hand. You can feel the strain on your wrists and forearms which is beneficial for RSI and arthritis (apparently).

Will bring it on thursday.

One tip --- I was a passanger in the car to caernarfon on saturday and I was practicing all the way. I had to raise the ball slightly so people could see what i was doing

Got it up to 9300Rpm which sounds good but the record is 15800 (ish) - video is on the site

It's a rather expensive gimmick.  Buy dumbells!!

This targets the wrist, forearm & grip strength without the weight of dumbells (got these too). It is also much more portable... and I'm a sucker for gadgets  :D

Yes, I have one too, good little gadget.

It's real benefits against traditional weights is:

1. It's portability and convenience,
2. You do not need any stretch or warm up to use and
3. Anyone can set their own expectations with it as it is proportional to effort
4. It strengthens your grip (for those really well seasoned pickle jars, etc. so you will no longer be embarrassed by your mam!)
5. Costs the same from EvilBay as decent dumbells.

BTW, I have not read these off the side of the box, either. Having been on the road a bit lately, it passes the time in the car (NOTE: passenger use only - "bring back the Road Safety films", eh, Moley/Lloydie?? :) ) and hotel time (no lewd comments please, heard them all).

In summary, it's the Dangly Bits under the Dog; and it has lot's of flashing LEDs.

Anyway, let's get back to Julian's thong episode............................

Been using Skype to talk to my brother Bryn down in Cardiff. The thing is now Ive shown him how to use it. He's calling my computer 4 times a day and I cant get away ](*,)

Calls are free to another Skype user but you need to subscribe to the company for local, national and international calls - all charged at local rate. Very Good money saver if you make losts of international calls- Although you really need broadband for it to work.

I think that Ebay has bought Skype now for something totally silly like $3Billion..

Who's going to buy one then? The 250Hz Pro cost £24.99 each, but if you buy three they go down to £20.99 ...

In other words ...
"Huw really really want's one but doesn't want to appear too "Nerdy" like Julian, especially now that Huw has a "Swanky Nerdy" new Mobile phone. (Showoff Showoff). So he figures if another two Nerds go along with a buy 3 get it cheaper deal, nobody will notice how badly he really really want's one. Just like a little boy - he can't wait for Christmas and get Sion corn to bring him one."
