Yes, I have one too, good little gadget.
It's real benefits against traditional weights is:
1. It's portability and convenience,
2. You do not need any stretch or warm up to use and
3. Anyone can set their own expectations with it as it is proportional to effort
4. It strengthens your grip (for those really well seasoned pickle jars, etc. so you will no longer be embarrassed by your mam!)
5. Costs the same from EvilBay as decent dumbells.
BTW, I have not read these off the side of the box, either. Having been on the road a bit lately, it passes the time in the car (NOTE: passenger use only - "bring back the Road Safety films", eh, Moley/Lloydie??

) and hotel time (no lewd comments please, heard them all).
