Here's a story Dave Hooper told me after training about Osaka Sensei.
As you know it is a serious breach of ettiquette to turn up late for training. One day at the JKA, Osaka Sensei was supposed to teach. He turned up for training 15 minutes late! He walked in, everyone was waiting for him, looked at the clock and then called Sensei Kagawa (the senior student that night) over. He gave sensei Kagawa one hell of a
Bo##cking and pointed at the clock. Sensei Kagawa took the clock off the wall and turned it back 15 minutes. Then replaced the clock. The lesson went on as normal and Osaka Sensei left.
When he went through the door, Kagawa sensei took down the clock and put it back on the proper time. Shrugged his shoulders and then carried on.
So you see, it really doesn't matter if you turn up late !
