Surely, it doesn't matter who your opponent is.  If you are attacking you are working 100% on the attack.  If you are blocking, you are working 100% on the block, REGARDLESS of your opponent.  That is how your karate will improve, not 'moving up and down gears' depending on the belt of your opponent?  

I'm small.  I suppose I have to.
