As you can see the forum software has been changed - for the geeks out there we've moved from phpBB to Simple Machines Forum.

The new software should give us some nice extra features, and more importantly for me it's a lot more secure than phpBB. I'm sure we're going to have a few niggles and problems over the next few weeks so if you find something which doesn't work or you have any coments/complaints please let me know.

Ahhh Managed to find it at last.
So far the comments I have are that it's very difficult to find the new posts. Before when you re-visited the forum, any new posts since your last visit were clearly highlighted in red. Very difficult to see this with those funny dotty things. Even worse when you actually get to the thread.

Yeah ! it's the symbols - Red flags and yellow would be better. Also the gobbledeygook at the side ie What you've posted in, locked topic, hot topic etc..too wishy washy. not clear enough.
The avatars don't fit anymore and the top of the page (The users info) Too big.. takes up half the page.

Sorry to be negative but you wanted user feedback.

Keep it simple..
Otherwise it's fine. If it's better for security - great..

No problem Moley. I actually agree with all your comments!! Most of the problems identified I can iron out over the next few days - change the odd graphic or two and edit the layout. phpBB is so insecure I was starting to loose sleep over it so there's no going back to that - I just need to work on making this thing better!!

BTW I've just tested the image upload functions and they work a treat - how cool is that !! :-)

It's a little complicated compared to the phpbb forum but will take time and practise to get a hang of.

The custom ranks don't seem to have been transfered. I'll try and find out if we can redo that using this software.

Better now Moley? This theme is meant to be a copy of the one we used on phpBB. It's not quite the same but it's pretty damn close!! I'll see if I can tweak it to make it a bit easier on the eye  :D :D

Wehey - The first page you get when you access the forum is MUCH MUCH better. I see you've used the old White and Red letters. Red to show which are new since your last visit. So much CLEARER.  Can we have this on the other pags as well ? Big BOLD and SIMPLE..
