Erm, yes. When you prepare to scan your scanning software should give you some options, some of which are usually made for this task. This kind of stuff is usually buried in "advanced mode" - if the software has that available. I *think* the crap you get from magazine images are known as moire paterns, that might help if the scanners software is complicated.
Otherwise you could just bring it to me!!
