After the tzuke's, you performed the Uke's slowly, is this what you've been taught in the ITKF???
No I did not learn that in ITKF. When I first came to Japan I saw a few guys in team kata do that move slow. I have thought about doing it slow before that as well. I think of Kankusho as a power kata, so I wanted to do those moves slow. Also, if you notice, I am not really pulling back, but pushing forward. My thinking there is that I am moving forward punching, so why do the opposite action and pull back. My energy is going forward on both the punch and the twist of the arm.
Nishiyama teaches alot about Kyo and Jitsu. My idea is that when you do the punch and quickly pull it back, the time in between that pull back and the start of the oizuki creates a big opening/kyo. So I thought it would be better to punch, then twist the arm into my opponent to limit the amount of time of kyo(the time in between techniques where you can get hit).
So it is my personal interpretation, but it is based in the ideas of kyo and jitsu.
