One is being done by a performance artist, the other is being done by a genuine karate-ka.

UPWM's kata was thrilling to watch. You could see that any of those techniques could do you some serious damage.

In contrast I thought the most exciting and realistic thing that happened in the FUP's kata was when the mobile 'phone went off.  :twisted:

I would generally agree with Lloydie - but I didn't think that the French guys' Kata was actually that bad - M-B's was definitely  sharper and more dynamic and "real" - however the French guy had (apparently) a very different interpretation of the moves IMO  :?

....but what about the "other" French Guy donig the "Not-Shotokan" KAta - I was well impressed in a morbidly fascinated way  :)

Wow. I hadn't watched that one! Any idea what kata he's doing? He finished so far off embusen he was almost in a different country. Very strange.
