Blood, Sweat and Tears = but mostly sweat.
« on: February 11, 2003, 12:30:04 AM »
Aimed more at Gizmo than anyone esle ...

OK - everybody sweats. From big fat guys to women who seem to just 'glow' that little bit more !!

What I'd like to know is 'why me'? Gizmo - you've been known to perspire a bit - but you're strictly second Div compared to my 'human fountain' efforts. Worse still you're one of the fittest people I know !! Wassup ?

When I started karate I put my sweating down to weight, lack of fitness, etc. Can't do that anymore. What's even more odd is it seems to be unrelated to work rate - I start sweating during the warm-up and just continue prespiring at a constant rate thereafter. I'm geting a bit worried, as summer hoves into view, I might drown some of the juniors (or shorter adults) during a session ??!!

Is it anything to do with Intake and Output ? i.e. the more you take in the more goes out. I really don't sweat much at all. I think it's because all I drink is 4 cups of tea per day and about a pint of beer per week. If this is average for us men, I don't know where Huw's exess liquid comes from.

Azzy you know the answer - never more than half a pint of weak shandy every month. And that's purely for medicinal reasons.

Accepted that "horeses sweat, men perspire anf seki femmes dampen/glow".....

I don't sweat much.... but then I only drink red wine by the teaspoon, cider by the egg cup and coffee by the sip

whose argument does that support

I opted to post on the hot and sweaty thread because it was just that tonight.

What I really wanted to say was thanks and well done Seki sensei. How many kids were there tonight? I forgot that an advanced qualification in radical crowd control was an intregal part of the dan grades syllabus

The Dojo is now Lovely and warm. Thanks to Lloydie.
Well done that man !

Eryl should now stop complaining that his feet are cold and that it's all the Mole's fault.
Details regarding the Spring (Windsor April 25 26 27- Senseis Kawasoe, Naito and Omura) camp have arrived. Unfortunately I myself can't afford to go on this one and go to Edinburgh, so I'm opting out and saving my pennies for Edinburgh.
I will distribute the leaflets tonight to those interested.Unlike Edinburgh, accommodation is not included in the Spring Camp and you have to book a hotel separately.

From TK "14 - 17 of August for Summer course dates"

For Seki that means 13th to 17th of August.

I was a virgin last year    and it's really worth the hassle/cost/travel.
Top training/ top company (Seki)/ top 'new' drinking buddies (TK etc). Great fun and superb experience

Hey Huw, I am looking forward to seeing how you have progressed in your Japanese/Italian/English translation skills since last year
