Media Player Hard drive enclosure - Just insert a 3.5 inch drive add copy your AVI, DIVX, MPG, DVD Folders, Photos, MP3  etc onto it.

It plugs into your TV so you can take it on holiday and watch all your films !

I've got one and so has Wani - plugs into your PC via USB

Thanks for the tip Julian. Just got one yesterday and it's totally superb! 150 + movies in a tiny little box. Cool as FCUK.  8) 8)

Can you or Wani offer any advice on file formats. It seems to glitch with certain file encodings but not with others.

The hunter that chases two rabbits catches neither one.

Looks like it prefers DivX to avi. I'll keep an eye on it though. At some point I'll probably convert my DVDs so I'll need to know the best format for that.

Does the player support Xvid Huw ? -  I think that the the current xvid encoder codecsare reckoned to eb better than Divx for quality and compression and they're open source and hence free  :)

BTW - AVI isn't in itself a video format - simply a "container" format which can in fact contain any of the other video formats so your problem might be with the ability of the player to extract and play the internal formats.....  :?
