which is the more exquisitely embarassing?
« Reply #16 on: February 20, 2003, 11:30:49 PM »
How do I make a poll ?

Which is the more embarrassing
1) forgetting your kata in front of the whole dojo and having to do it again

2) accidentaly (unless freud had anything to do with it*) throwing a whole glass of tomatoe juice over Lloydie's black trousers in the pub afterwards.

Believe me - the latter wins hands down.

Sorry Lloydie (I promise I won't apologuise again) better not sit next to me on saturday or wear those PVC trousers as suggested.

Thanks for putting up with me you guys!

I think Lloydie thought YOU where offering to wear PVC trousers. A somewhat more appealing idea than 'young' Dave being poured into some ill fitting garment ;-)

Everyone's done it h. You showed good spirit in re-doing the kata properly.

Actually, for me the former was much less embarrassing   :P

I needed to put on a wash before Bridge gets home tomorrow anyway, helen, so no problem.  The gentle aroma of tomatoes wafting through the car heater on the way home was an interesting experience!!

don't believe the Sigmund Fraud stuff h      I reckon you had it planned from the moment I got you to repeat heian shodan

:D AN EXCELLENT SESSION BOTH PHYSICALLY AND TECHNICALLY :D

Even better with the input from mole bach and ERYL they've left me with a lot of technique to consider. I feel I have been running away with myself trying to speed up and forgetting about the fundementals i.e stance, supporting leg etc. :x  :x

Thanks for the 'HIPS' thing MOLEBACH   i will endeavour to remember that and gradually get my weary bones to listen to my brain and hopefully my kicks will be higher.

Thinking about it in the car today i think there probrably was a link between the physical exertion ofd Lloydie's session and my throwing a virgin mary all over him! At the time (beneath my red-faced embarrassement) I was thinking "I'm not even drunk - how could I do such a thing?" and yet I did feel quite high.
It's those endomorphines or as Moley would put it ADRENALINE
I've certainly noticed feeing quite elated, with sharpened senses and focus post training (in a way over and above the buzz of other areobic workouts).
Anyone else experience the same phenomena (with out without throwing juice over training buddies)?

   If any of you would like a good laugh Arth came across a brilliant programe.  It's on sky  Challenge (121) it's called TAKESHI'S CASTLE it's like It's a knock out ,but being Japanese its a lot madder. It's on at 7-40 and then repeated at 10-40.  I couldn't stop laughing it may be because I have a weird sense of hummour.

This is what it's all about.
Think about the sessions afterwards and then work on ideas.
