Fine by me - as long as we don't have to do that poncy Unsu thing :)

Not your personal favourite then ??     OK - which kata do you really enjoy? Not just Gizmo but all of you - everyone seems to have a favourite (and least favourite) kata.

Huw - My favourite Kata changes over time I think (fickle eh). I am currently quite keen on nijushiho and beginning to like gojushiho-sho. Despite what I said earlier about unsu I do actually quite like it but tend to tie myself up in all types of knots on the jump/spin bit (ask anyone who's tried it). The kata I've enjoyed from the first time I did it is heian yondan and I still really enjoy practicing it.

I'm sure favourite kata's change all the time like favourite records (or should I say CD's).

I really enjoy Heian Sandan at the moment - but I know others really dislike it. Having said that Heian Godan is also 'cool'. Heian Yondan I've hardly touched as there seems to be a certain lack of Green belts in the club at the moment.

Heian Sandan is probably my least favorite kata,  not too sure why, possibly the type and flow of movements does not feel right to me.
Heian Nidan has been my favorite for a long time, closely followed by Bassai Dai and Heian Yondan.

Funny how we concentrate on teaching to the many and not the few.
Perhaps things will balance out after this grading.

I'm sure it will - for starters there are now 6 or 7 'greens' inthe dojo  :D

What strikes me as odd is how certain grades seem to be under represented - e.g. until Saturday there where only two(ish) green belts in the whole club !! What happened ? Did somebody eat the rest ?

Azzy,
Start displaying your new persona in Kata.
I shall observe you very carefully on Thursday.

Then we can have a little "Rumble2 to see how your nastiness is developing.

Ahhh...tht explains why Moley was on the site at 10:30 last night, instead of glugging Pinapple and Soda at the watering hole.

OMG !!! It's serious then. We'll have to think of a plan for Thursday - particularly if Azzy wants to talk techie for a while.

Options:
Anglesey Arms (Lee's beer   )
Tafarn y Bont   (poor parking)
Victoria Hotel (might be OK in public bar if no football on that night)

Any other ideas ?

Actually that "Flower's" thing is quite good.
Steve Eaves would like it.
