Favourite Kata

Hengetzu this kata was demonstrated last year prior to the grading and I think Moel Back demonstrated the opening moves during a training session earlier this year.  If i recall correctly it displays the slow powerful Goju Ryu start when breathing correctly and correct tension of all muscles is all important, then it explodes into action.  this is the one I'd like to learn.

. Heian Yondan I've hardly touched as there seems to be a certain lack of Green belts in the club at the moment.

Funny how we concentrate on teaching to the many and not the few.
Perhaps things will balance out after this grading.

Great Point Moley ! - I am forever dismayed at what happens in a Kata Class (when it's say 3rd KYU and above present) when the Sensei calls out Heian "Anything" .......  :-00 it's IMO absolutely disgracefull in the main - so much so that I've now got back into the practice of running through the Heian Katas before class as a warm up so that I don't end up like some others  :(
