Sensei Moley and the delivery of the IPPON
« on: November 23, 2007, 01:10:05 PM »
Thanks for the training last night, got up this morning with pains in places I didn't even knew existed. I know I cocked up a lot on delivering the allmighty IPPON, but it brought home how easy it is to stay in your "comfort zone" instead of biting the bullet and stretching for the next level. I wonder how many of our karatekas believe that they are training to their potential unknowing that the next step is maybe just a specific choice of partner away?
Telling a man to go to hell and making him do it are two different propositions.

LOL. One of the great advantages of being your size Arwel is that Moley will grab you as a partner quite often. He picks on the larger gentleman as they tend to better equipped to deal with his famous control ;-)

To start with may I thank Arwel for a really enjoyable "rumble" last night, Hopefully as the weeks go by I will be able to "change gear" and Arwel will be able to benefit more from his training and enjoy the "Wahoooooooooooooo!"

As for Huw's comment about my control...may I say how absolutely "gutted" I am by such a statement...  How can you say such a thing when my control is "THE BEST IN THE CLUB"...

Statistically
1. I have been training longer than everyone else by about 100 years
2. I throw 10X more punches than everyone else each session
3. I go 100X more "BESERK" than anyone else each session
4. My counters and attacks are about 10x faster than most
5. I usually train at LEAST 2X every week.
6. Bad injuries are logged in the accident book
7. One more entry in the accident book of an injury caused by Lloydie and Lloydie overtakes me as person who has "caused most damage to others"

Also I don't just pick on the "Gigantic" ones... I will just as happily hit Shane, Azzy or Liam...

(Granted it won't be as satisfactory as when I next hit Huw...but... One has to do what one has to do..)

So there !
